We Take Pride in Consistent Quality
At K&H Construction, our goal is to build high-quality homes in a timely manner. Typically, our homes are completed within 4-6 months from start to finish (depending on size and complexity). We do this by utilizing 5 specialized crews who rotate through the construction process. Each of our crews excel in their given trade, ensuring high quality and attention to detail. We strive to provide you with a smooth building experience and a finished home that exceeds your expectations in a timely manner when you are building your custom home. Here’s some details of how our 5 crews will rotate through building your custom home:
1) Foundation Crew:
The foundation crew is responsible for excavating the site to prepare for the foundation, which includes digging trenches and pouring concrete footings. They also construct the foundation walls and ensure they are level and properly aligned according to the building plans. This crew ensures the structural integrity and stability of the home's base.
2) Framing Crew:
The framing crew erects the structural framework of the home. This includes installing the floor joists, wall studs, and roof trusses. They follow the building plans meticulously to ensure the framework is sturdy and correctly aligned, providing the skeleton upon which the rest of the home will be built.
3) Exterior Finish Crew:
The exterior finish crew installs the exterior materials that protect the home from the elements and give it its final appearance. This crew installs exterior siding, soffit and fascia, exterior doors and windows, and sets up any exterior trim or moldings. They are responsible for ensuring the home is weather-tight and visually appealing on the outside.
4) Tape and Paint Crew:
The tape and paint crew works on the interior of the home, specifically focusing on drywall installation, taping, mudding, and sanding. Once the drywall is prepared, they paint the walls and ceilings according to the homeowner's chosen colors and finishes. This crew ensures a smooth and finished look to the interior surfaces of the home.
5) Trim Crew:
The trim crew handles the finishing touches inside the home, installing cabinets, vanities, and interior trim such as baseboards, door and window casings, crown moldings, and other decorative elements. They pay close attention to detail to ensure precise cuts and fits that enhance the aesthetic appeal of each room. The trim crew also installs interior doors and hardware, completing the interior spaces of the home.
Each of these crews plays a crucial role in the sequential construction process, working together to ensure that the home is built safely, efficiently, and with high-quality craftsmanship from foundation to finishing touches. Check out some of our custom homes below in our Custom Home Gallery!
